A BILL
To extend the Temporary Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of
2002.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the `American Worker Temporary Relief Act'.
SEC. 2. EXTENSION.
(a) IN GENERAL- Paragraph (2) of section 208 of the Temporary Extended Unemployment
Compensation Act of 2002 (26 U.S.C. 3304 note) is amended by striking `January'
and inserting `April'.
(b) EFFECTIVE DATE- The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to weeks
of unemployment beginning after December 28, 2002.
