A BILL
To authorize the project for hurricane and storm damage reduction,
Morganza, Louisiana, to the Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi River and Tributaries.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. MORGANZA, LOUISIANA, TO THE GULF OF MEXICO, MISSISSIPPI RIVER
AND TRIBUTARIES.
The project for hurricane and storm damage reduction, Morganza, Louisiana,
to the Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi River and Tributaries, is authorized to
be carried out by the Secretary of the Army substantially in accordance with
the plans, and subject to the conditions, described in the Report of the Chief
of Engineers dated August 23, 2002, at a total cost of $680,000,000, with
an estimated Federal cost of $442,000,000 and an estimated non-Federal cost
of $238,000,000.
