to the Committee on Energy and Commerce
A BILL
To amend the Communications Act of 1934, and increase consumer
freedom of choice in the video marketplace.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the `Consumer Freedom of Choice in Cable Act'.
SEC. 2. REPEAL OF 70/70 RULE.
Section 612 of the Communications Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 532) is amended--
(1) by striking subsection (g);
(2) in subsection (j)(1), by striking `subsection (h)' and inserting
`subsection (g)'; and
(3) by redesignating subsections (h), (i), and (j) as subsections (g),
(h), and (i), respectively.
