U.S. Senate and House Contact Pages now updated for the 111th Congress, May 20, 2009 ... Feel free to contact the empty suits in your states and districts to let them know how out of control spending is ... News updates coming ... Back in action, somewhat ... First thing I'm doing is fixing the Senate and House contact pages so there is another channel for the People to find the Chosen Ones in their respective state and local Congressional districts. Being off-line since January for personal reasons, I never got around to updating the changes that happened with newly elected Congressmen ... I'll try to have all changes complete by the end of next week, only after that will I start posting headlines again with my personal spin and sarcasm, back to the old model of straight down the center of the page. The Bill Pages and Legislative Issues sections will have to take a back seat until the 112th Congress ... with Congress 4 1/2 months into a mammoth session of destruction to the economic and social principles the Nation was founded upon, and after the further shredding of the Constitution, it is too much catch-up for me to handle. Instead, I will keep things simple by posting important bills that should be passed by Congress and by making note of the bills introduced and/or passed by the respective bodies that intend to harm, would harm, or are already doing harm to this great country, the United States. Through the summer and into fall I am working on a new project outside the realm of news and politics (more on that later) so I need to scale down the intended scope of The Orator. It is my sincere intention to get back on this horse and ride it so please bear with me. This site will go back to a simpler mode in vein of the early days, so continue to check back. Talk to you soon ... - Steve Stakem, May 15, 2009 Updates to this site are about to resume. The past few months I have purposefully chosen to ignore politics on the Web as I sat idly by watching the U.S. turn furthermore down the road to socialism. A great thanks is deserved for the crew in charge on Capitol Hill for seeing this through, and no thanks to the morons that helped elect the current majority in office, as well as to the opposing party that folded its tent during the Bush years, i.e. the GOP that has lost its way. America has been asleep at the wheel for years and a majority of the voting public is too ignorant to know it. Now that majority is driving us off the cliff. Thanks a million you Lemmings. - Steve Stakem, May 13, 2009 |
