A BILL
To make the income tax rate reductions in the Economic Growth and
Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 permanent.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX RATE REDUCTIONS MADE PERMANENT.
(a) IN GENERAL- Section 901 of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation
Act of 2001 is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:
`(c) INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX RATE REDUCTIONS MADE PERMANENT- Notwithstanding
subsections (a) and (b), the amendments made by section 101 shall continue
to apply without regard to subsections (a) and (b) of this section.'.
(b) EFFECTIVE DATE- The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect
as if included in section 901 of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation
Act of 2001.
