To extend certain trade benefits to countries of the greater Middle East.

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

SEC. 2. FINDINGS.

SEC. 3. STATEMENT OF POLICY.

SEC. 4. DESIGNATION OF ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES.

that the President determines are taking substantial positive steps toward meeting the eligibility requirements in section 4, not less than once every 2 years for the purpose of discussing the issues described in paragraph (1). The first such meeting should take place not later than 12 months after the date of enactment of this Act.

SEC. 7. FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS WITH COUNTRIES OR POLITICAL ENTITIES IN THE GREATER MIDDLE EAST.

SEC. 8. REPORTING REQUIREMENT.

SEC. 9. PRESERVATION OF BENEFITS OF UNITED STATES-ISRAEL AND UNITED STATES-JORDAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS.

SEC. 10. TERMINATION OF PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT.
