A BILL

To extend the authorization of the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary Commission.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the `Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary Commission Act of 2005'.

SEC. 2. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN TERCENTENARY COMMISSION.

    The Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary Commission Act (Public Law 107-202; 36 U.S.C. note prec. 101) is amended--

      (1) in section 9(b), by striking `not later than January 16, 2007' and inserting `not later than January 16, 2009'; and

      (2) in section 11, by striking `for the period of fiscal years 2002 through 2007' and inserting `for the period of fiscal years 2002 through 2009'.
